BiographyPastor Brad’s ministry to Africa began with a simple prayer he didn’t even know he was going to pray, as he was flying home from his first trip to Kenya: “Father, send me where the need is greatest!”
Since that prayer, Pastor Brad has since equipped more than 1,000 pastors in sound principles of biblical study and interpretation, sound theology, pastoral leadership and ministry, and evangelism. Pastor Brad is non-residential Missionary to Africa; his ministry focus and passion is three-fold: first, to teach and preach God’s Word with sound doctrine, in the fruit and power of the Holy Spirit. Second, his focus is to bring this ministry personally to pastors and church leaders in Uganda and to Kenya, equipping them for faithful pastoral ministry throughout Africa. Next, he does the same thing each week through his radio broadcast – Voice of Hope Africa. The men and women in Kenya and Uganda have had no access to biblical or pastoral training. In fact, they were leading churches without even a study Bible – and that in a sea of heresy, false teachings -- and a form of Christianity that is barely recognizable. Consequently, he has supplied them so far with more than 100 NLT and ESV Study Bibles, biblical commentaries, 50 copies of Spiritual Leadership(by J. Oswald Sanders), his own commentary on 1 Thessalonians, and thousands of pages of his own teaching notes on theology, books of the Bible, etc. In addition, he preaches evangelistically to prisoners and high school assemblies, and on live, FM radio. He has personally seen at least 50 Muslims come to faith in Jesus. Pastor Brad is making plans to start a Bible Institute in Kamuli, Uganda – a region of Uganda which is poor and has no Bible institutes or training centers. Third, Pastor Brad has a humanitarian focus: to supply urgently-needed financial support to worthy orphanages in Uganda and in Kenya, to fund and construct a water well (in progress), to build a schoolhouse for children, to get them clothes and new mattresses, soccer balls to play with, school supplies, and most importantly – much-needed food. |
He visits these orphanages each time he travels to Kenya and Uganda (he stays at the orphanage in Kenya), and he thoroughly enjoys ministering to the orphans. Since 2014, he’s made a total of 12 trips to Kenya and Uganda, combined.
Pastor Brad’s weekly radio broadcast on Voice of Hope Africa has aired since November 2016, and it reaches all 52 countries in that continent (and he’s received emails from people as far away as Italy and Belarus, Russia, who hear his broadcasts!). Thus far, he’s preached through 1 Thessalonians, Colossians, and is currently preaching through the Book of Acts on Voice of Hope. He has a great passion for the unsaved to come to faith in Jesus, and consequently, he gives salvation invitations in most of the radio messages he preaches – trusting God especially for salvations among Muslims in the 10/40 Window. He is the author of a commentary on 1 Thessalonians, entitled, A Heart after God Bible Study Series: 1 Thessalonians: A Church with a Powerful Legacy for Today’s Christian. In addition, he’s served as Associate or Senior Pastor of five churches and taught Biblical Studies as an Adjunct Professor in two Christian universities. He currently teaches as an Adjunct Professor for Vanguard Bible Institute, focusing on Old Testament Survey. He makes his living through the financial partnership of individuals, including all of his travel expenses to Kenya and Uganda.
